Privacy Policy

Neko's Index is committed to user privacy. This page explains what data is collected or stored when you use this site.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or account details.
• We do not use tracking cookies or analytics.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

Local Storage

This site uses your browser's localStorage to save preferences locally on your device. This includes:

• Theme preference (light/dark)
• Category collapsed/expanded states
• Your favorited items
• Whether you have completed the main index verification puzzle (nekos_verified)
• Whether you have completed the other indexes verification puzzle (nekos_other_indexes_verified)
• Settings toggles (IP warning, beta notice, compact mode)

This data never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to us or any server.

IP Address Notice

The index page offers an optional "Show my IP" button. If you click it, your public IP address is fetched from a public service (api.ipify.org) and displayed in the top banner, masked to the last digits. This only happens when you click — nothing is fetched automatically. The IP is not stored or transmitted anywhere else.

External Links

This site contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using them.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
